HARP SEAL
Phagophilus groenlandicus or well known as harp seal is one of the largest carnivora mammal living in the cold weather of Arctic. As you may wanna know, they belong to Kingdom: Animalia Phylum : Chordata Class : Mammalia Order : Carnivora Clade : Pinnipedia Family : Phocidae Genus : Pagophilus Species: P. groenlandicus Harp seals have two pair of legs that almost shaped like a fin. because of their legs and body weights, they don't have the ability to walk properly on land. So they move by gliding their bodies through the ice. when they were babies, harp seals has a soft clean white fur, but as they got older, the skin turns grey-ish and there are several black spot on its surface. Although they huge fondness of cold, Harp seal are warm blooded, they have a thick layers of fat beneath their skin to keep warm. there are some uniqueness in Harp seals life cycle. 15 days after they were born, the mothers abandoned the babies to live by their ow
